Under general direction, oversees day-to-day activities between GDC organization and Sabre Business Units managing the details of overall project schedules and deliverables. Typically uses more project management skills than technical skills. Plans and manages schedules and budgets monitoring the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project milestones on schedule. Manages the project, including project scope, schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts. Develops and manages a communication plan to include content, frequency, audience and channels. Works with management staff to establish appropriate project structure, staffing plans and project alignment. Sets goals, objectives, priorities, and resolves conflict. Interfaces with the Business Unit leaders regarding project deliverables. Accountable for meeting project schedules. Ensures that approved methods, processes and tools are consistently used, include change, issue risk and quality management.
Applies advanced skills, concepts, practices and procedures to complete several small to medium projects or a complex component of a large project.
Receives general direction on assignments.
Develops and maintains relationships with key internal Sabre business units, ensures program and projects are moving forward and that they are following the Sabre standards
Advises senior management and executives of program / project status
Responsible for aligning the efforts of cross-functional teams to support the GDC strategic objectives
Manages ongoing work through governance structures, creating high level plans that provide guidance to projects where detailed plans are established.
Currently pursuing a degree with a graduation date after August 2019.
Possess and applies a knowledge of project management principals, practices and procedures. Solid leadership qualities. Must be able to work with limited supervision and be accountable for actions and decisions. Analytical skills and a solid facilitator. Proficient with Microsoft office suite or equivalent.
