POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Using your sales management and business development skills, drive new sales growth in your region. Responsible for initiating contact with potential new clients and managing a pipeline of new sales activity both corporate and agency channels. Work with Senior Director Business Development to achieve sales targets and profitable solutions on the Sabre GDS. The focus is on client acquision and bringning in new business to the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procurement of large new travel industry clients in region

  • Lead generation and the sourcing of prospective clients

  • Ensure all databases are kept up to date – with relentless focus on pipeline management;

  • Achieving targeted face to face appointments with new prospects every month

  • Identifying the commercial needs of prospective clients with a view to developing appropriate solutions that provide a targeted ROI to Sabre

  • Achievement of sales targets

  • Attendance at functions out of hours

  • Monitor and report on competitor sales activities in the territory

  • Contribute to Sabre sales / marketing plan and strategies

  • Work in collaboration with Senior Director Strategic Business Development and Regional Directors to manage and execute the Sabre sales strategy with the strategic partners portfolio;

  • Lead/Drive RFP with GSD team and delivery process for nominated strategic accounts.

  • In conjunction with Senior Director Strategic Business Development and Regional Directors develop and maintain strategic relationship with strategic partners to understand their specific needs, direction, expectations and opportunities for growth, including identifying and acquiring new business;

  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Global Accounts for Sabre on business opportunities with Global Accounts, including identifying and acquiring new business;

  • Drive and ownership of Blue Sheet reviews fort the top 20 Accounts;

  • Work with product to develop strategic partnerships with 3 rd party providers;

  • Liaise with Product Marketing team to exchange market feedback, share learning and opportunities beneficial for our strategic partners;

  • Contribute to Sabre sales and marketing plan plus strategies;

  • Strengthen industry relationships;

  • Monitor and report on competitor activities.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/PERSONAL QUALITIES:

  • Proven track record in new commercial sales (5 - 10 years minimum);

  • Ability to think strategically, make sound business decisions and analytical skills;

  • Strong travel industry background;

  • Experience in selling or promoting technology value solutions;

  • Superior negotiation skills at all levels;

  • Proven leadership ability and ability to develop/mentor team members;

  • Ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously;

  • Strong commercial and business acumen;

  • Sound financial and business planning skills;

  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and time management skills, proven with RFP experience;

  • Demonstrable history of sales success from complex technical sales propositions;

  • Strong organizational, networking, relationship building and negotiation skills;

  • Works ethically and professionally with both customers and colleagues;
